Strong
gusts of island wind marked his entrance into the
world in 1959. He emigrated from his native Cagliari
towards the 'continent', where he lives to this day,
under the miraculous shade of Pisa's leaning
tower.
His passion for writing grew, and became a profession,
producing so far: Un assistente inaffidabile (Bollati
Boringhieri, 1992), which earned him the "Giuseppe
Berto" prize for literature; Il
mio unico amico (Bollati Boringhieri, 1994) translated
into French as Le Dico de mon père (Boulogne,
Progress, 2000); Il maestro Atomi (Comix, 1997)
and Il caso del contabile (Garzanti, 1999).
His short stories and texts have also appeared
in the writer's almanac Il Semplice,
Comix,
L’Indice, and Italiaplease. |
