Dino
burgers on the Adda
|
| Spend
a relaxing day with your family and friends at the
Adda Prehistoric Park near Lodi. |
If
you've got young children, have to organise your annual
school trip, or - like us - are simply a child at
heart, then Lodi's Prehistoric Park is just
the place for you. The park, which is part of the
larger Parco
dellAdda Sud, follows the left bank of the
Adda river until it flows into the Po.
Children - both young and old - will love the life-sized
reproductions of prehistoric animals which are spread
throughout the park, the fossil and mineral exhibition
is also popular as is the park's maze. There's plenty
for the adults too - from a relaxed stroll along the
river to bird-watching among the marsh-like surrounds
of the river.
There's even a train to bring those unable - or unwilling
- to walk on a tour of the park where you can see
real-life animals rub shoulders with their prehistoric
counterparts.
So, what are you waiting for? A visit to the Prehistoric
Park makes for a great family day out. You can even
bring your bikes and pet pooch (don't forget the lead).
And finish the day with an open-air barbecue - dino
burgers for everyone!
A day ticket to the park costs 9 Euro per adult, 7
per child and allows you to come and go as you please.
The park is open from mid-February to mid-November.
